I captured this image on the 17th June 2023 of some sort of landing craft and thought she looked Naval or Military in origin. Beyond that, I had no idea whatsoever as to what she was. An Internet search revealed that she is a Naval Landing Craft Assault Vessel that was built in 1960 by the Dorset yacht company of Poole. She was one of four similar vessels that were carried by HMS Fearless and saw service in the Falklands War in the 1980's. It would appear she has been restored and is now part of the working exhibits at the Royal Naval Museum at Portsmouth. It would appear that her role now is to carry paying passengers on short excursions around the Royal Naval Dockyard, which was presumably what she was doing when I saw her.
