Close Shave?

Piloting a ferry in Southampton Water and the Solent can be fraught with problems given the large number of pleasure craft underway at the same time particularly in the summer months and at holiday times. This image captured in July 2018 illustrates the problems that can arise. The use of a zoom lens set to 100 mm to capture this image will have shortened the apparent distance between the two vessels but in my view not by very much.
