Polly Woodside at the Melbourne Maritime Museum.
In December 2000 I captured this image on an APS film camera whilst on a tourist boat sailing down the Yarra River in Melbourne Australia. At the time I knew nothing about the ship or the venue. Internet searches subsequently suggest that the ship is the Iron Hulled Barque Polly Woodside launched in 1885 and the venue is the Melbourne Maritime Museum. It would appear that since the year 2000, both the area and Museum have been developed considerably and that the venue is now known as the Polly Woodside Tall Ship and Museum. A great deal of information is available on the Internet about the Polly Woodside, her history and her preservation.
