RNLI StormRider 13-04.

I was fortunate to capture this image of the Shannon Class Lifeboat Storm Rider (13-04) as she motored at speed up Southampton Water on 6th February 2020. According to Internet sources the Shannon Class of Lifeboat is the first class of boat in the RNLI's fleet to use water jets in place of propellers. This class were designed and built to replace the Mersey Class of Lifeboat. Assigned to the RNLI's Reserve Fleet she came into service in 2015. This and other images of her taken at the same time were captured from the deck of a Red Funnel car Ferry.
