A view through the Dolphins at Lepe.
The metal pilings of the World War 2 Pier at Lepe Hampshire are known as the Dolphins. They were an important part of the infrastructure constructed at Lepe to support the allied invasion of Europe. I recently visited Lepe to try out some new photographic techniques and while I was there the opportunity presented itself for me to capture this image of the Container ship Navi Baltic as it crossed in front of the Dolphins as it navigated the Thorne (deep water) channel in the Solent in-bound for the Port of Southampton.
