Happy Accident?
Occasionally the metering systems on DSLR cameras become confused possibly due to the wide variations in light intensity reaching the sensor from reflected light. This image I believe is an example of that with light being reflected from both the water and from the side of the ferry. The image was captured in January 2020 about mid morning when the light conditions for photography in all other respects seemed to be ideal. That was certainly the case for the images that were captured before and immediately after this one. This image shows the container ship Conmar Majade and the Red Funnel transport vehicle ferry Red Kestrel navigating the River Test close to Southampton's Dock Head. I thought that the silhouettes of the two vessel due to an under exposed image made an interesting composition. Hence the title.
