Princeton.
There are times when longed for sunshine works against you as a ship's photographer particularly when it causes high levels of reflected light from the surface of the sea as so clearly demonstrated in this image captured in June 2006. When I captured this image of the 148 Gross Ton Tug Princeton, I was on board the Red Funnel Ferry Red Falcon and probably wishing that I had not left my polarising filter at home. Princeton was built in Germany in 1965 and held the names Kapitan Engler and Alex Falck before becoming Princeton sometime in 2005. The wording on her white superstructure immediately below her bridge reads Griffin Towage who presumably are her owners and operator. When the image was captured, both vessels were motoring in opposite directions on Southampton Water Southampton with Princeton in-bound for the Port.
