Although there are earlier images of the Coastguard helicopter G-MCGO in this sub gallery this is the closest I have been to photograph it. The opportunity arose when I was onboard the Historic SS Shieldhall to observe part of the 2021 Round the Island Race (Isle of Wight) on th 3rd July 2021 when the Shieldhall and the CoastGuard Helicopter G-MCGO carried out a training exercise to land a Winch woman on Shieldhall's deck. This image captures a moment prior to departure after the exercise had been completed successfully.
