This is a ship image in part because the steel decking is part of the access ramp to the car deck of the Red Funnel car ferry, the Red Osprey. I was intrigued by the Gull"s (Common Gull?) behaviour because it was prying shellfish from the pilings of Southampton's Town Quay and dropping them on the steel deck whilst in flight. It managed to open a number of shells in this way before it was interrupted in its breakfast by the ferry's departure.
