Images can be misleading particularly in the case of this one which was captured in April 2012. The image appears to show the Power Cruiser Bolly on a collision course with the Jet ferry Red Jet 4. In fact there was a considerable distance between the two vessels at the time and they only appear close together due my use of a zoom lens. I captured a sequence of images of Bolly prior to this one, some of which show a for sale notice on her bow railings. My guess is that when I saw Bolly, she was being demonstrated to a prospective buyer and the reason for Bolly approaching Red Jet 4 in the way that she did was that Bolly intended to cross the wake of the ferry so as to increase the excitement and thrill of the demonstration. The image was captured when I was on a Red Funnel ferry motoring in Southampton Water Southampton, outbound for East Cowes Isle of Wight.
