An image of Spitbank Fort, the nearest to Portsmouth of the four 150 year old, military forts built to protect Portsmouth and the Solent from possible attack from the French Napoleonic Navy. Now in Private hands it is operated as an exclusive entertainment venue and hotel. The image was captured from the deck of the Paddle Steamer Waverley in September 2017.
