This is the only image that I have in my collection of the Royal Pier Southampton that shows it when it was in-service. This section of the Pier was used as the departure and arrival point for the Red Funnel Hydrofoil service to Cowes Isle of Wight. The image was captured on an APS film camera sometime in the late 1980's (probably 1988) when I was required to travel to the Isle of Wight for a business meeting. I have no idea as to the name of the Norasia Line Container ship that appears in the background because as a scanned image there is insufficient detail to read her name on her stern.
