I may have been using the incorrect Internet search terms when I was looking for information on the Power Boat British Venture featured in this image but the best I could discover is that she is described as a High Speed Technology Demonstrator. This descriptor might well explain the engineers and engine controls seen on the open deck near to her stern. The image was captured from the deck of a Red Funnel car and passenger ferry in October 2021 when both vessels were underway in Southampton Water Southampton.
