Blade Runner One is officially classified as a deck cargo ship but as her sole purpose in life is to transport wind turbine blades from the Isle of Wight where they are manufactured to Southampton where they are onward shipped across the World, I have chosen to call her a special purpose vessel. Built in 2000, this image of her which was captured from the deck of a Red Funnel Ferry was taken in May 2006 as she crossed the Solent bound for Cowes, Isle of Wight.
