This image required a fair degree of processing prior to posting on My Ship Images as it required a number of adjustment, not least the removal of a green colour cast because it was captured through a window of the ship I was on. Loodsboot Pilot Boat Number 7 is unusual in terms of most pilot vessels I have photographed as it operates well out to sea on the approach to the Belgian Port of Zeebrugge acting in my opinion as a mother ship to the small boats that transport the pilots to the vessels that require access to the Port. Loodsboot was built in Belgium in 1978, is Registered in Belgium and has a Gross Tonnage of 625 Tons. In November 2023 she is still in service providing pilotage services for the Port of Ostend. She is now 45 years old.
