I have selected this image because it shows clearly how awful the weather was when Iona was leaving the Solent as she passed the Black Jack navigation buoy on her way up Southampton Water for her Maiden arrival at the Port of Southampton. It was raining so hard at the time this image was captured that it suppressed the wavelets on the surface of the sea and also created a mist spray on Iona's top deck.
