This is the only image that I have of the 1616 Gross Ton General Cargo Ship Pregol Hav that I captured in January 2020 when she was berthed in Southampton's Western Docks. My Internet search for her details was aided considerably by my being able to read her IMO number (8519239) on the superstructure of her Bridge deck. Three cheers for cameras with high megapixel sensors! Pregol Hal was built in Germany in 1985 and over the course of her working life has had a number of different names including Kurt Jensen, Sea Thames, Explorer, Tansa and Prego. When I saw her she was Registered in Antigua and Barbuda and is owned and operated by the Norwegian shipping company Hav Shipping Ship Management. The yellow cranes in the image were shore based units used to lift the heavy cargo from her holds which I believe were the large metal canisters seen on the dock near to he bow. The image was captured from the deck of the Red Funnel car and passenger ferry Red Osprey that was departing the Town Quay for East Cowes Isle of Wight.
