This image of the 12711 Gross Ton Roll-on Roll off car and passenger Ferry Ibn Batouta was captured in September 2006 as she was crossing the Straight of Gibraltar heading from Morocco towards Gibraltar. She was built in Northern Ireland in 1981 and during her career was named Stena Antrim and St Christopher before being given the name of Ibn Batouta presumably on change of ownership. I am unclear after an Internet search (June2021) whether she has been laid up or has been scrapped. There is much information on the Internet about her years in service.
