When I was fortunate to be able to go on board the Cunard Cruise ship Queen Victoria for a short visit in May 2016, this model of the Cunard Liner/Cruise Ship RMS Caronia was located in its display case in her Atrium. The 34183 Gross Ton RMS Caronia, known affectionately as the "Green Goddess" was in service between 1949 and 1974 and was designed to carry 932 passengers in two classes as a Liner and all First Class when she operated as a Cruise ship. A few years ago I came across an Internet photograph of Officers in her Radio Department (in her latter days) and was delighted to realise that I knew some of them from my own time at sea.
