Atlantis.
The Barquentine, passenger sailing ship Atlantis that you see in this image, started life in1905 as a light ship in the estuary of the River Elbe in Germany. At that time she was named the Burgermeister Bartels. She was converted to a sailing ship in 1984 and at the time this image of her was captured in Southampton Water in August 2007 she was registered in the Netherlands. Image captured from Calshot Spit as she passed the Hook Buoy which is the demarcation point between Southampton Water and the Solent.
