This image of the Moon captured from my back garden near to midnight on the 23 April 2021 represents an absolute first from my point of view as all previous attempts over the last few years to photograph the Moon have ended in dismal failure. The trick seems to be to keep the camera ISO as low as possible and to underexpose the image until the detail of the Moon's surface can be observed. The image was captured hand held on a Canon EOS R5 camera attached to an Canon RF 600mm lens.
