De Havilland Turbo Prop Aircraft V2-LFM.
My type of photography is largely unplanned but if an opportunity presents itself, I will often try to capture the unexpected. My large collection of blurry images is testimony to this approach! One exception to the blurry image norm was the capture of this image of a De Havilland turbo Prop aircraft as is came into land at Castries Airport on the Caribbean Island of St Lucia in November 2010. The De Havilland Canada Fixed wing multi engined DHC-8-311A Dash 8 aircraft was built in 1981 and is owned and operated by Leeward Islands Air Transport Services (LIAT). Only in the Port of Gibraltar have I been able to take a photograph from the deck of a ship of an aircraft that on that occasion was taking off.
