Sometimes the unexpected happens and when it does it can be to your detriment or to your benefit. In my case with this image it worked to my benefit, because on the 7th March 2015 I was onboard the Red Funnel car and passenger ferry Red Eagle returning to Southampton from East Cowes Isle of Wight photographing a number of oil tankers that were berthed at the Fawley Refinery Southampton when a casual glance on my part across Southampton Water towards the entrance to the River Hamble revealed this Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) moving at high speed away from my camera position. I only manage to capture one image and this is the result. I have no idea as to the name given to the RIB and can only surmise that it belonged to one of the commercial companies based on the Hamble that offer high speed boat experiences to Corporate Clients and to members of the Public.
