Pomona.
Over the years I have been looking at and photographing yachts I have developed a liking for the two masted ketch with an enclosed wheelhouse as seen in this image. Even for someone like me with almost zero sailing experience, Pomona's looks suggests a boat with good sailing properties and an ability to cruise effortlessly for long distances. I have searched the Internet to try to find something about Pomona's history and builders name but failed to find any information other than Pomona is a Latin word for fruit and also the name of a Roman Goddess. The image was captured in May 2017 from the deck of a Red Funnel car and passenger ferry when both vessels were in the Solent Southampton.
