Rapparee.
Anyone interested in the origin of the name Rapparee and the history of the Catamaran ferry featured in this image bearing that name would be well rewarded by undertaking a search of the Internet using her IMO number (9144976) as the search term. Rapparee was built in Singapore, came into service in 1996 and was originally named Waterjet 1. She later saw service in Portsmouth UK being named FastCat Ryde and in 2024 is working in the Russian Federation called Sochi 1. In this image, which was captured in May 2010 she is seen motoring in the Western Solent just off Cowes Isle of Wight heading in a Westerly direction..
