Maersk Wind.
This image of the 51770 Gross Ton Vehicle Carrier Maersk Wind was captured just after dawn in April 2008 as she was arriving at Southampton's Eastern Docks. She was built in Japan, coming into service in the year 2000. In 2011 she was sold and renamed Hoegh Osaka. A search of the Internet will show that as Hoegh Osaka she was intentionally grounded on the Solent's Bramble Bank due to a loss of stability and the possibility that she would sink blocking Southampton's deep water (Thorn) channel. Fortunately no one was killed in the incident. This image of her as Maersk Wind was captured from Southampton's Town Quay.
