HMS Grimsby M 108
This image of HMS Grimsby M108 was captured in June 2005 using a Sony Cybershot compact camera which had a limited zoom capability and a low Megapixel image sensor. As a result this image, has of necessity, been heavily cropped and processed in order to obtain an acceptable image. My view has always been that it is better for me to have a poor image than no image at all. HMS Grimsby was Commissioned into the Royal Navy in September 1999 and remained in service as a single role minesweeper until 2022 when she was transferred to the Ukraine. The image which was captured from Calshot Southampton shows HMS Grimsby motoring in Southampton Water in-bound for the Military port at Marchwood.
