Royal Pier Southampton
Photographed in May 2017 showing a small part of the now derelict Royal Pier in Southampton as seen from the top deck of a Red Funnel Ferry. Opened in July 1833 and originally named the Victoria Pier there are plans by Southampton Council to develop the site and rejuvenate the waterfront at Victoria Park and the Royal Pier. In November 2017 this structure disappeared completely. Whether it was removed or sank I cannot say.
