Maersk Houston.
When I initially searched for information on the Internet about the vessel Maersk Houston the results indicated that she was a containership built in 2019. This made me think that my Maersk Houston (seen above) must have been disposed of and her name reused by her then owners (not uncommon) because this image was captured in August 2006. The mystery was solved when I searched using her IMO number (IMO 9034690). My 18360 Gross Ton, Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Maersk Houston was built in South Korea in 1993 and originally named Hans Maersk, a name she kept until 1996 when she became Maersk Houston. In 2023 she is still in service but named Nimbus Gas and Registered in Tanzania. This image shows Maersk Houston at one of the Esso berths of the Fawley Refinery and was captured from the deck of a Red Funnel car and passenger ferry that was motoring in Southampton Water Southampton, outbound for East Cowes Isle of Wight.
