Saargas.
I chose this image for two reasons. The first was to feature the Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Tanker Saargas, whilst the second was to illustrate the range of pleasure boats that occupy space near to or on the main navigation channel in Southampton Water Southampton. The 3932 Gross Ton Saargas was built in Germany in 2001, is Registered in Liberia and had previously been named Bridgettgas. This image was captured in July 2020 from the Moat Wall of Calshot Castle as Saargas was motoring in Southampton Water, heading in the direction of the Solent having departed the Fawley Refinery a little while earlier.
